Why Join?
So you're interested in joining your local chapter of the Professional Construction Estimators Association of America, Inc. (PCEA), but you still need to know more about who we are and what you'll get out of it. Since its creation in 1956, PCEA has been the professional choice to thousands of estimators and construction professionals throughout the Southeastern United States. Read below to find out why.
What do we do?
Exclusive access to unique activities
Every year we have several “Members Only” events. Some of the events in the past have included a tour of the Dewalt factory, Metromont Precast Plant visit and demonstration of a new prefab bathroom methodology being installed in the Spring Hill Suites in Uptown.
Interesting Educational topics
From GC/Subcontractor/Supplier roundtable discussions to focused presentations from guest presenters we get regular exposure to the pulse of what is changing and what is going on in Charlotte.
What will you get out of it?
Expand your network. Whether you are new in town or a fixture of the Charlotte market it never hurts to know and understand the market. You may end up meeting a new company or deepen ties that could help you or your company grow.
Personal & Professional Development
Active involvement in the PCEA can help you grow as an estimator. Between the experiences you will get access to, the classes or simply the network of seasoned professionals that are always willing to lend a bit of wisdom, the PCEA is a great way to boost your professional bona fides.
Promoting estimating as a profession is the core mission of the PCEA. Part of that is cultivating and training the next generation. Every year we raise thousands of dollars to directly benefit local students pursuing a career in construction with our scholarship drives.

If you come to a PCEA function and you don’t have a good time, you’re doing it wrong! We provide good food, adult beverages, and a relaxed environment to hang out with the most interesting group of people in construction.
